The streets of Brooklyn are a cacophony of choices. To make Catfy the preferred spot for coffee aficionados and cat lovers, a complete brand overhaul was required. With the dual goals of enhancing in-shop experience and digital presence, we embarked on a journey to rejuvenate Catfy’s identity, making it a hotspot in Brooklyn’s ever-bustling map.

The secret wasn’t just to shout louder but to resonate deeper. Leveraging Catfy’s unique cat companionship proposition, the strategy revolved around:
- Introducing quirky, fun branding elements to encapsulate the café’s spirit.

- Ensuring easy discoverability through precise Google Business listings and maps shared on social media platforms.
Design Process:
Logo:
The primary logo is a playful twist on the ‘Noteworthy’ typeface. The ‘C’ adorned with cat ears and the ‘Y’ mimicking a cat’s tail capture the café’s essence beautifully. Further, the logomark – a whimsical illustration of a cat nestled inside a coffee cup, its tail elegantly forming the cup’s handle – is an instant attention-grabber, perfectly fusing the themes of coffee and cats.
Typography:
The choice of ‘Noteworthy’ for the logo and ‘Times New Roman’ (both bold and regular) for other types ensured a harmonious blend of fun and sophistication, reflective of the café’s atmosphere.
Color Palette:
- Latte Cream – #f5e0c3 & Soft Rose – #ffd3df – Primary Colors: Evoking warmth, comfort, and the creamy goodness of coffee.
- Midnight Blue – #0d1725 & Mocha Brown – #7d4d36 – Secondary Colors: Grounding the brand in the rich authenticity of coffee and the night.
- Vibrant Coral – #f06880 & Sunset Orange – #ff7430 – Accents: Introducing vibrancy, energy, and a touch of modernity.
Brand Assets:
We created a myriad of playful illustrations revolving around coffee, breakfast, and, of course, cats! These not only added a fun dimension to the brand but also served as excellent content pieces for social media, making Catfy’s branding truly stand out.
